Introduction to Offered Services

1. Talk therapy: I provide sessions with integrative techniques ranging from IFS, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Humanistic and Psychodynamic Approaches. Psychodynamic theories can help to discover and probe into clients shortcomings and relationships to navigate their challenges in the present and help in processing. Humanistic Therapy can provide empathic attunement to delve deeper into client’s interwoven struggles and work around them holistically.

2. EMDR, Trauma therapy (PTSD, Complex PTSD, Childhood Emotional Trauma and other Adverse Childhood Experiences)

EMDR is a protocol to reprocess the mind in order to work through the struggles of life that helps in learning from the past while being in the present to be healed for the future. It can be used to open past blockages in the mind and reactivate them.

3. Therapy for Emotional Regulation Difficulties including anger management, relational management, grief and anxiety as well as existential issues that arise with old age.

4. As an IFS Informed therapist, I find it rewarding to work with the traumatized or wounded part of the client and help in the process of releasing and letting go of emotional burdens and negative energies.

Ambreen’s take on Therapy

My inspiration came from my own self as well as others, I felt I was not heard and seen as I wanted to and that brought in a lot of aspects in me which needed attention. Therapy gave me a space to breathe and understand my self better and that inspired me to provide the same to others.

I believe our mental health represents our physical well being, it manifests in our life in numerous ways. Knowing myself has made me more patient and consistent in my work, it has made me explore myself which widened my horizon to learn and accept life and work on my inherent potential and similarly work with my clients to optimize their inherent potential and work towards their self actualization.

My approach is multi faceted and primarily revolves around the client and their specific needs in the moment. This can entail holding in the moment, mirroring when important and containing the transference projected on me or simply hearing the client out. It is also important to build upon the relationship with the client to know and understand the deeper layers of what is brought in the space. Therapy is about providing a space where a person can be seen and heard without any judgement. It is for anyone who feels a desire to share , not limited to a particular diagnostic label but to bring in whatever is bothering or burdening them.
